    5 1/2 Inch Skinning Knife By Friedr Herder In Solingen Germany Hi-Carbon has animals instead of Friedr Herder logo. Condition is New 2nd choice. This one has a crooked logo., but most have a knot hole or scratch in handle or something minor.  Nothing wrong with perfomance. These knives by Friedr Herder are very easy to sharpen or maintain on ceramic and they hold an edge longer than most. All of their steel is exceptional. Mostly Hi-Carbon with just a touch of stainless to keep the rust at bay. They started making swords for the war from 1618 to 1648. They started in 1623. They really know how to order their steel.
