Generator 12V conversion kit includes alternator and black solid state regulator. Alternator body features a black finish and the end cover features a chrome finish.
Alternator housing holes are 1/4-24 for mounting, so original screws can be used. End of alternator turns on left outside of the motorcycle. Kit Requires solid state regulator and 12 volt battery system which can be ordered separately. Regulator must be mounted by technician as desired. Use HeliCoil kit to convert 12 volt generators with 5/16-24 thread to 1/4-24 thread to accept early mount bolt set. Alternator body has 1/4-24 threads to fit models equipped with 32E or 52K generators. Shaft is splined as a 65A/12V generator armature. Order screws, gear and oil deflector kit, gasket, and washers separately. Chrome cover is included. Black and stainless steel covers are available and sold separately.
