I got, word for word, from a Levy's Leathers Sales Manager:
"The loops will hold cartridges .30 and larger.  Less than .30 are too loose, and larger than .30 fit progressively more snugly as the leather is expanded (broken in) to accommodate the case size."

2-3/4" wide (at widest point) veg-tan leather rifle cartridge belt. Features open-ended sleeves, bottom stop, and 2" chrome roller buckle. This belt has a total capacity of twenty-eight (28) cartridge loops. This belt is made to wear
OVER
your existing pants and belt, so I recommend getting a few inches larger than your normal belt size.
For example
:
if you are normally a 34" - 35" (waist/pant size), and wear a relatively thick
EDC belt
(like me

), you may need to consider the "Large" size 38" - 42".  I

personally measured my

waist
OVER
a thick
EDC leather belt
and jeans at around 39".  I

tried on a "Large" sized belt and it fit perfectly on the second to last notch. The last notch was uncomfortably tight.  Purely anecdotal, but I

want to give an honest review and, at the very least, give some perspective on how belt measures out.  If you have any special measurement requests, just message us.  We will measure anything you want - just be
very specific
when presenting your requirements.  Need the buckle thickness? No problem.  We have a great selection of

Again, size selection simply depends on what
you
end up measuring out to, as described above. This is not the type of belt that you need to keep "tight".
It is not an
EDC belt
(unless you're just a total bad-azz). It is meant to "hang"
comfortably
around your waist. Not too loose, but certainly not too tight. Please consider all of these factors before ordering.
