    LIONEL TRAINS 6-13008 STANDARD GAUGE COMMODORE VANDERBILT PASSENGER SET, In 1934, New York Central Hudson #5344 was fitted with a sheet metal shroud and became the first streamlined locomotive in America, dubbed the Commodore Vanderbilt. Almost immediately the locomotive’s futuristic design made it a popular prototype for toy train and model makers. This is the 2002 remake in standard gauge of the Commodore Vanderbilt. The locomotive is built from tough die-cast metal and features TrainMaster Command Control and the RailSounds sound system. The tinplate metal Pullman passenger cars have detailed lighted interiors with removable roofs for easy access. This awesome set includes Commodore Vanderbilt locomotive & tender, a heavyweight Pullman combine car, a heavyweight Pullman coach car and a heavyweight obervation car. The locomotive is TMCC Command Control equipped and can run in command or conventional modes, RailSounds with Crewtalk, TowerCom annoucement and DynaChuff synchronized chuffing, operating headlight, metal standard gauge couplers, dual torque Pittman motors, fan driven smoke unit, die-cast metal locomotive frame, trucks & body, tinplate metal tender frame, trucks and body, separately appplied metal handrails, detailed cab interior and glowing firebox in cab. The passenger cars have tinplate metal frame, trucks and bodies, metal standard gauge couplers, authentically detailed interiors, lighted interiors and removable roof for interior. Aside from some light dust from being on display set is in like new condition. Sorry NO original boxes or owner's manual. Buyer pays 5.00 for quality packing and shipping.
