I didn’t really like it. I was bored with this book.
The tourism authorities then began reprinting and churning out paperback copies of Lost Horizon to support the marketing campaign, and I must have come across dozens of them while perusing bookstores, hostel shelves and cafes across Yunnan. I don’t get why folks like this book since it seems to ramble in points the airplane skyjacking scene seemed to take forever to complete and the simple mysteries that are presented in the book are so telegraphed that it is hard not to call them before they are presented.
I just didn’t see the point to all that nonsense when it hitlon develop any characters or push the story along. The author tries to prove that when there is no religion and no moral absolutes, you will have a society that is peaceful and lovely and heavenly.
It also is not clear how Conway gains amnesia a result of leaving Shangri-La? Return of the Rog I really don’t like persidos that tell me what is happening solely through conversations.
